I am having a beach wedding in Florida does anyone have any good ideas for color schemes or flower choice?

Best time to go to Captiva Is./Sanibel Is., Florida?

I am getting married Oct. 2007. We want to go to Captiva and Sanibel Islands, Florida for our honeymoon. My fiance went to sanibel about a year or so ago for his sisters wedding, they went in March. He said it was warm, but the ocean water wasnt all that warm.

We dont want to go when there will be hurricanes but we dont want to wait 5 or more months After our wedding to go. I checked on a weather website and it said late Oct. the avg. high is 87 degrees (F) and the avg low is about 67 degrees (F).

Has anyone had experience going to Capitiva/Sanibel in mid to late Oct? Was the beaches and water and weather very warm? I would go to go when it is in the 80s or higher because I want to make sure the water is very warm to swin in.

Thanks. I appreciate any help I can get on judging the best time to go when it’s warmest. And I DO NOT want to go when it is spring break or anything, I do not konw when that time is for colleges though.

Destination wedding help!?

I asked awhile back about locations for destination weddings… If we could choose, no $ or family concerns, we would be going to the Virgin Islands. I have researched venues & planners there, and it would be the ultimate dream wedding for us!

However, the cost of airfare and lodging is a concern, and I’m starting to feel worried that, although we don’t mind if only our immediate family goes with us (parents, siblings), our grandparents, who may not be able to travel that far, will be unable to come and may be upset. Our parents have told us to do what we want.

I have tried looking into locations in the cont. U.S. like Sanibel, Captiva (Florida), Hilton Head (SC), etc., but haven’t been able to find any wedding consultants who offer complete services and pricing information on their Web sites, which concerns me. All the VI wedding planners I looked at offered complete information.

Thoughts? Good wedding planners in those other locations? Other locations (must be on a beach!)?
I live in Ohio, by the way.

How much should a bridal bouquet costs?

I’m getting married in less than 10 days and the florist at our destination wedding just came back with the final bid for flowers. My bridesmaids were $95 each and mine in an additional $125. By getting married at the T’ween Waters Inn on Captiva they sub-contract to a company where you have a credit for $85 toward your bouquet and the groom’s bout. We thought that it would be smart to go through them for all of the flowers until I just rec’d the bid. I told her we could budget for $50 and she said that would not get what I want. Does anyone know of a good florists in Captiva? We’re thinking of just going to Publix and buying flowers at this point.
